Mission
WomensImagingOnline.org
In January of 2006, the American Roentgen Ray Society began publication of a Women's Imaging section within the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR). As part of that initiative, WomensImagingOnline was designed to expand the focused content of this AJR Women's Imaging section to a comprehensive web-based resource, of interest not only to practicing radiologists and trainees, but also to the women’s imaging community at large, including allied health specialties, patient and patient advocacy groups, business managers, and industry representatives. The material presented at WomesImagingOnline is meant to be authoritative, practical, and targeted to women's imaging. The specific mission of the website is to provide a complete resource for the women's imaging community, including, but not limited to original research, expert commentary, news bulletins, information on accreditation and CME, image libraries, practical point of care information, links to other resources, guidance for practice and information management, women's imaging forums, trainee’s resources, a centralized schedule of radiology meetings, job listings, current events, buyer's guides, and coding and billing assistance.
